Our History

Long before we incorporated our law firm, it all started back in 1996 with a vision to establish a commercial firm in the City of Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape Province, South Africa, with a focus on rendering legal services in the commercial and property areas of legal practice. It was a pioneering exercise, a bold shift from the tradition of legal services that was largely defined by racial dominance and monopoly in commercial and property law services to one that that was anchored on egalitarian, non-racial and forward-driven thinking, set to contribute towards change.

The idea to form our firm was discussed by the founders, Sivu Ntlabezo and David Schady, both qualified conveyancers and commercial practitioners. It was followed by opening of our office in Cape Road, Port Elizabeth. The building blocks of professional excellence started with corporate, property, trusts and registrable securities. It has been a journey that has delivered excellence over a period of more than 20 years. Many legal practitioners have been moulded through their involvement at our firm to become valuable contributors to the private and public sector, a rich heritage that makes us proud to be of meaningful relevance to society.

From refined expertise that date back to the formation of the firm to a new era of digital presence and leadership in commercial law, we are in existence and firmly grounded as an incorporated boutique law firm. That is the journey started by Sivu Ntlabezo, who remains passionately part of that journey into an exciting future, armed a wealth of knowledge in commercial and property law, which have always been a worthy resource for clients.
